So they had no interest to bring them back after financial recovery, they just wanted to use the opportunity to get rid of people that used to work in the products that they didn't want to invest anymore and didn't want to pay the price for terminations or relocating people to other position, expecting these people would terminate the contract themselves. The focus is to be fast to deliver on a no-clear-how-was-decided due date. - Too much politics and rumors spread around.
