Pros
Very competitive compensation package. If you are competent you can easily be a catalyst within the facility for the good.
Cons
It’s a PCC company, which means constant cost cutting of critically needed supplies and projects. Due to their antiquated costing models staffing is about 1/3 of what is needed to actually run the facility. Even with a bare bones staff you can expect layoffs leading up to the MOR as a peace offering to the CEO. GM’s do this with zero regard for the effects it will have on the remaining staff who is already overworked. Expect +55 hour work weeks with the unspoken expectation that you are still not doing enough. Investment in technology is not a high priority within PCC despite the propaganda they sell. So many issues and escapes could be avoided if the capital was there for IT systems. As for your office, expect to be underwhelmed…you will sit behind a desk from the 70’s or 80’s if your are lucky. Your office lights will be dim, ceiling tiles broken and stained from leaks. Expect not to have anything you need to do the job for the first week. You won’t have your computer or company phone. When you do get it you will spend weeks attempting to get access to things you need for your job.
