Pros
-1 on 1 trading training with the president, who is really knowledgable.
-good amount of work, lots of different tasks; get to use excel a lot which is great for resume. and you get to learn excel in terms of financial data, another plus.
-Thomas is super friendly so any question you have will be answered no problem.
-good hours, and really flexible on days.
Overall this is one of the best opportunities you can get as a UCSC student doing the field study. If you're interested or think youre interested in finance, this is a great opportunity to learn hands on with a great mentor.
Cons
-difficult to get to, but that's not really a big deal.
-no opportunity to come on full time (yet), but you know this from the start. Really this is an internship to gain more experience to help land a job upon graduation, so it's again not really a big deal.
really, the value this experience brings to a student's resume is really big. You become 10 times more employable after something like this.
