Pros

I did not work there, i am here only to point out how the CEO of the company talked to me on an Interview phone call.

Cons

I was actively seeking new career opportunities when a contact of mine in tech recruitment introduced me to the company's profile. The competitive base pay caught my attention, prompting me to embark on the interview process. My initial interaction with the HR team went smoothly, and there was clear interest in my CV. While I don't consider myself a rare find, my work experiences and achievements make my CV noteworthy. Subsequent technical interviews with a Manager, a Tech Lead, and HR reaffirmed their positive impression of my performance. Following these, I engaged in another interview with the Manager from before and the CEO of the company. The CEO was positively intrigued by specific aspects of my current workplace, As if he was interested to embark me ASAP At first, I hadn't delved deeply into the job details, as I was assessing the situation more casually. My primary goal was to explore potential opportunities and gauge my market value. However, upon realizing the possibility of a deal, I took the time to thoroughly research the company. I even consulted an ex-colleague currently employed there. Their insights were frank: 'The monetary rewards are appealing, but the prospects for a long-term commitment are slim due to excessive micromanagement, an imbalance in work-life equilibrium, and issues with certain managerial attitudes.' This prompted me to consult Glassdoor reviews, which leads me to share this feedback. Ultimately, I respectfully declined the company's offer via a formal email. A while later, I received a personal call from the CEO, presumably got my phone number from my CV. During the conversation, he inquired about the reasons behind my decision. I conveyed that, based on my research, the company's current trajectory doesn't align with my professional growth aspirations. I emphasized my preference to avoid commitments that aren't aligned with my expectations. At this point, the conversation took a rather unexpected turn, and the CEO became agitated. His reaction reinforced the concerns raised in the negative reviews I had encountered. I maintained a composed tone, thanked him for sharing his perspective, and concluded the conversation. In retrospect, this call served as a confirmation of the reservations expressed in those reviews. Deciding not to proceed with the company's proposal was indeed the prudent choice.
