Pros
We used to have a flex-work policy, but our CEO has taken that away from us.
Cons
Let me tell you a story, even though you may have heard this one before. There once was a chief executive who assumed his position by an arguably uncompetitive process, over a year ago. He has no relevant experience that would have equipped him for this role. He has an unprecedented low approval rating (per Glassdoor). He has introduced new policies and practices that have brought a financial downturn to the organization. All of his key hires were either due to cronyism or at the very least, poor judgement. He has witnessed the mass exodus of staff who couldn't stomach the new direction of the organization (we've now witnessed three senior executives resigning this month alone). He surrounds himself with "yes" people who sit in meetings in silence, nodding their heads in agreement with every ridiculous statement that comes out of his mouth. He has no clear and consistent vision, no self-awareness, is heavily influenced by the most recent person to have his ear, is a micromanager to the extreme with absolutely zero faith or trust in his team, exhibits poor judgment and a blatant lack of ethics, has no idea how the organization runs, and can repeatedly stand in front of a room and boast about how much money we've raised or how great a leader he is (neither of which has been proven). And he is obsessed with Twitter. To those of us at XPRIZE, this is a reality within a reality. Our very own West Wing.
