Pros

With significant experience in the workforce, I can confidently say that working here has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my career. The culture is vibrant and deeply rooted in authenticity, with a clear investment in the people who make the organization what it is. Flexibility and generous benefits aren’t just offered, they are encouraged and modeled. There is a genuine sense that life happens, and leadership consistently shows empathy and understanding around that. The workforce is incredibly smart, mission driven, and emotionally invested in the organization’s success. There is a clear commitment to core values not just in branding or all-hands slides, but in how decisions are made and how people treat each other. It is incredibly rewarding to work at a company where so many of the members are true fans, genuinely grateful for the support they have received in launching and growing their businesses. You can really feel the impact of the work, and the “why” behind it is both clear and motivating. Communication from leadership is transparent and frequent, and there is a refreshing sense of realism when it comes to growth goals and expectations. It is easy to stay aligned with where the company is headed.

Cons

As with any company in a growth phase, there are occasional growing pains. New processes, shifting roles, and team expansions can sometimes feel a bit unsteady. One concern is how to maintain the strong culture and close knit feel as the company scales It is a challenge, but one that can absolutely be met with the right focus and intention.

Pros

Things have changed a lot at XYPN in the last couple years. The core values (mission-driven, be well being you, get sh!t done, do the right thing, and win together lose together) used to be more aspirational than real. There's been a lot of investment in training and supporting managers, and it shows. Retention is way better, and a new teammate shared that it's one of the first places they've ever worked that really lives out core values. No surprise, the positive change in culture has also helped lead to a very positive financial outlook. For me, doing my best work with really smart people who care about what they do is incredibly fulfilling, especially since that work helps financial advisors start their own businesses and make quality financial advice more accessible. As a brand new parent, who works with a ton of other parents here, I have a deep new appreciation for the flexibility and benefits package XYPN provides. I didn't think it would be possible to grow a career while prioritizing my family, and fully expected to pay the price for that. If anything, I've experienced the opposite. I can flex my schedule to take care of a sick baby or take time off to take them on adventures. I have a community at work that supports and celebrates this stage of my life with me, and that's been an incredibly powerful thing.

Cons

We're still a small company with a diverse, complex product/service offering. There's plenty of work to go around, and keeping up with the pace of change in the world when it's already all hands on deck can be overwhelming from time to time.
