Pros

XenoTech has an extremely relaxed environment in terms of responsibility. They operate under flex hours, allowing employees to pick their work hours around a 6-hour core window. There is no established WFH policy - allowing non-lab based employees to "work" from home several times a month.

Cons

Managers of XenoTech struggle to lead. The typical managing style is "because I said so". Planning is almost non-existent. The company thrives on being reactive, hardly ever proactive. In the book 'From Good to Great", Jim Collins claims that successful companies which strive for greatness achieve it by ensuring the right talent (people) are put into the right situations (jobs). This concept is foreign to XT. They randomly move people around and place them into vacancies - completely ignoring talent, abilities and potential. Seniority is the major deciding factor with any promotion or career advancement. Merit can often go ignored or unnoticed, while departments are given to people after 10+ years of service, with a complete disregard for employee competence.

Pros

People are great. However, upper management not super approachable. Benefits and 401K match are pretty good.

Cons

Pay seems low for position.
