Pros
- Talented and hard working staff. - Exposure to global brands and high level engagements. - Chance to work across groups and learn something outside your field of expertise - Some degree of independence, but you must ultimately answer for your production
Cons
- Leadership puts more time into the illusion that they know what they're doing, despite the painfully obvious reality that they do not. - I hope you like to work countless of hours on a project only to have it change direction on a whim. Repeat ad nauseum. - Engineering wears the pants in this company. For better or worse. - If you're an industrial designer with no other prospects in Rhode Island. Working here might just turn you off from ID forever. - They care about churning activity and billing hours to clueless clients far more than the quality of the work. - Employees get constant reminders about the specialness of the company, it's "close-knit", "family" culture--all up until the day they lay people off--as much as a third of all employees during my tenure. - The HR "department" is a joke.
