Pros
It’s a good way to get your foot in the door and to get some production experience.
Cons
The most toxic work environment I have experienced in my life. It severely messed with my mental health which I had never experienced before working there. You will have no social life and it’s not worth it as the pay is terrible, the hours are long and antisocial. You will be expected to be in a tiny studio for long hours with short breaks, only 30 minutes, and management advice you not to take your full 30 minutes at once but to break it into sections! They also don’t allow you to leave the studio to go to the toilet without phoning and asking for permission. Management don’t accept requests for time off and try to pressure/ make you feel guilty for asking for time off. The only time you will see management is when they have something negative to say, they only appear to pull people out and tell them off which creates a really bad environment and makes a lot of people feel very on edge. The management don’t want producers to talk to the models, they try to make it out like the models can’t be trusted and try to get producers to snitch on them when in reality the models are all very lovely and it is management that is the problem!
