Pros
Most technical staff are grand. If you're fortunate, you might get to work on a relatively interesting project.
Cons
Working for an IP licensing company (what some view as a patent troll) isn't the most exciting. Culture and work environment isn't great. Salary is below industry average. Projects can drag on for a long time, so even if you're working on something interesting, it can turn stale after a few months.
