Pros
- nice office, plenty of daylight - legacy - experienced mid and senior engineers to learn from - mentorship and proper onboarding process - defined processes
Cons
- salary cuts during Covid-19 - salaries are no longer competitive - management is subjective - no female leaders - low benefits - mid and senior engineers who left the company are being replaced by many junior engineers with poor compensation packages (still the same in 2023 as it was in 2018) - 'old' garniture of employees still privileged (in a 'developed' society this is called 'favoritism' and it is toxic - unstable finances with no backbone (salary cuts during Covid up to 80 % for some) - toxic 'unwritten' codex of behavior - manager and team leaders actually do pay attention on how many coffees or toilet takes you had in a day, no walking around or stretching - etc. - advancement based on years (quantity) not performance (quality)
