Pros
- Great views/location - Free food - Leadership tries to be transparent - Nearly everyone at Yello is incredibly bright and capable
Cons
- CEO is a micro-manager. You hire subject matter experts for a reason, let them do their jobs. - Certain VPs and department heads are running their teams into the ground with lack of direction. They're all smart people, but some of them clearly have no idea how to be true team leaders that foster high morale and open communication. My team especially was incredibly siloed and dysfunctional. - The company's plan for the future is very unclear. Priorities and direction are constantly changing, from smaller things like launch dates to huge things like the product road map, who we're selling to, and overall direction the company wants to take. - Truly a sinking ship if the People team and leadership don't figure out a way to turn things around. Turnover has been incredibly high both on my team and other departments, and employee NPS has been plummeting. When asked what they'll do to fix it, leadership just gives a generic, canned response about how important this is to them and they're working on it. No amount of free snacks or lunch & learns can make up for a toxic work environment.
