Pros

I enjoy working at YellowBus as a Behavioral Technician. I work in clients’ homes, and I really enjoy collaborating with my BCBA and the families I support. The families I work with have been wonderful, and I feel that the work I do is meaningful and rewarding. Since I work in-home rather than at a center, it can sometimes be difficult to connect with other BTs unless we are attending virtual trainings. However, I appreciate that YellowBus consistently offers a variety of training sessions to help strengthen our ABA skills, and the flexible scheduling makes it easy to sign up based on availability. One thing I especially appreciate is the support available when needed. For example, when I was having trouble using the MeasurePM data tracking platform, another technician joined me during one of my in-home sessions to help troubleshoot the issue. Even though I work independently in the field, I always feel like there is someone I can reach out to for support and guidance when needed.

Cons

Most sessions take place during the evenings due to school hours during the year, which may be difficult for those looking for daytime hours. There are also limited weekend cases available, so scheduling flexibility can sometimes be challenging depending on availability.

Pros

The company has a culture that strives to make sure its employees are happy. As a newer employee, I felt heavily supported in the beginning of employment, which systematically faded to a more realistic level of support that makes me feel independent and self-sufficient. I also love being a part of bi-weekly BCBA roundtables and being in a WhatsApp chat with other BCBAs from the company for added support. The bonus pay is generous and pretty easy to attain. I love the flexibility of the position I have in that I can make my own schedule, make last-minute changes if needed and provide remote supervision when possible. Overall I'm very happy being here and I love the work flow, structure and pace of my day-to-day.

Cons

Sometimes the travel required can feel time-consuming and I wish I was more in control of the cases I was given in terms of which time of day they occur. For instance, I would prefer if I had more AM cases because the bulk of my cases are PM and I can be difficult to have flexibility in the evenings due to my nights being pretty full. That being said, this is a nitpick because I'm still very satisfied with my experience at Yellow Bus.
