Cons
ATTENTION Competition Bureau: 411.ca is the biggest scam operating right under the Competition Bureau's nose. Yellow Pages Canada is the parent company of 411.ca. Yellow Pages Limited is a public company (TSE:Y) is commiting a form of securities fraud by knowingly committing fraudulent activities and claming it as income. They use the Yellow Pages name to knowingly commit fraud against small business owners (misleading advertising / false marketing claims) which is against the law (contravening the Competition Act). Almost all the employees soon after getting hired become aware they are ripping off customers but most of them stay because they have a low skill set and it is hard for people like that to find new jobs. The 411.ca website acts as a front by which a team of fraudulent salespeople use telemarketing practices to sell a fake service to innocent business owners. The 411.ca website sends next to zero visitor traffic to individual company profiles but the salespeople knowingly lie to the business owners and promise them new customers when the salespeople now full well that the site is a fraud. THe sales people get paid the 1st month's fee so that they have incentive to have a customer sign up at the highest monthly fee they can talk them into. The management is knowingly charging customers for a non-existent promotional service using the internet as a sales tool and the 411.ca as a front. Many small business owners can tell the promotion service sounds fishy when they start asking more specific questions so it's the naive non-technical business owners who fall victim and agree to sign up for $200 - $300 a month (or more) in promotion fees trusting the Yellow Pages name and expecting they will get more phone calls to their business and traffic to their websites. 411.ca is stealing their money and then makes it difficult to cancel months later when the customer realizes they are wasting their money and they are getting ripped off. Please google "411.ca reviews" to read complaints from customers over the years. The tech dept in charge of the website purposely sets up the customer login panel to show fake traffic stats so customers think they are getting a lot of views on their company profile. It is all a lie and misleading advertising & false marketing claims that they are knowingly doing and allowing to continue to happen. In addition, there are many fake company reviews on 411.ca created by employees to trick new clients (and ones talking about canceling) into thinking they are getting activity on their company profile page. Some reviews on Glassdoor are fake as well and are created by existing employees to try and make 411.ca seem like a reputable company to potential employees. I look forward to the day that 411.ca gets shutdown by the Competition Bureau. The day is coming. DO NOT WORK AT 411.ca
