Review - Designer YourStudio Employee Review

- The company is a very empowering place for women, something I found very refreshing. - It's a great place to work if you're a direct person who is self starting. - There is space to bring in fresh ideas & ways of working. - They are always open to trying out new ways of presenting & developing design work. - There are some really talented people who work here & some really kind people too. - I believe that the leadership team do care about employees being happy and they are actively working on some of the things mentioned in previous reviews. - I don't believe the company deserves some of the previous reviews (hence my review!). I have worked in many design studios and this was by far one of the nicest and the projects were great. - The Design directors work incredibly hard (to the point of being overworked) and really care about their team. - Overall the positives hugely outweigh the cons and I have good memories of my time there.

- Depending on when you join YS you're likely to have different experiences. I joined at a point of extreme growth where there was a bit of a freelance/perm divide but that subsides when people aren't so busy. - There were a few big changes that felt like they might have been introduced on a whim. These are likely the reason people who joined as freelancers in 2023 found it a bit chaotic as the perm team were struggling with new roles and responsibilities thrust on them. - I think YS is best for people who are outgoing. I know that the people who struggled to voice their thoughts/wants/ salary expectations tended to be the people who were frustrated. - The career progression is slow, there is an attitude of having to have done the job for a long time before you get the title and pay rise.

Supportive management. Lots of investment in people and culture. Amazing clients. Dog friendly studios. Allow you to be creative and get on with things without micro managing you.

None really....it's a great place to work
