Pros
ZF Group is a global company in over 140 locations. The Global Trainee Program gives young professionals access to all of the locations and high visibility to seniors and executives in each location. The program has 1 underlying project where you work on a team with the other trainees on a high-level project. In addition, there are 4 rotations you may take in any department on any project you like.
Cons
The German trainees get a little more visibility with some more important projects. It is a German company at heart, so if you decide to join it would be good to know at least some German. The more languages you know and the more experiences you have abroad the better. This program is pretty intense but it pays off because after the program ends you have made countless connections with the most important people in the company, including the Board of Management. The North American part of the company is much more ahead when it comes to culture, values and diversity, but the Headquarters has put together a team to address all of these topics and are moving forward quickly in excellence.
