Pros
A disclaimer before reading this review - ZS is a big firm where different work on different problems, so your experience might be entirely different from mine. I work as a Business Operations Associate and i have to think really hard for any Pros but few that i could think of: 1.) People and Culture: You will hear/read this a lot but its true that people and culture at ZS are great. People are helpful (most of the times) and culture is also pretty friendly. 2.) Depending on project you might get some chance to directly talk to clients i.e. its not typical onshore and offshore model company. 3.) Senior Leader's (Principal etc.) are really inspiring and have strong careers and stories. They have lot of knowledge of the work and client really respect them
Cons
1.) Poor and Brainless Work 2.) Strict and Rigid team structure - You would be staffed randomly in the beginning and after that you will not be allowed(ok, being a little less harsh - you would not get much opportunity) to try something new. 3.) Operations is majorly OpsTech, mostly you would be working on ZS proprietary tools or on SAS, SQL or some reporting tools etc. This software use would have fixed boundaries where they will teach set of codes, syntax and you will be using that again and again. The work will mostly be repetitive task of running the code and QCing to check nothing is 'faata huya'. 4.) While culture is meritocratic to some extend but mostly the promotion/appraisal structure is pretty strict now where most people will get promoted at a interval of 2.5 years (honestly its not even the fault of management because the majority of work is quiet repetitive and their is not much opportunity to prove that you are a high achiever therefore no one can promote you early). 5.) Mid Management (AC's and C's) is not really great or inspiring. Mostly you feel they became consultants because they stuck around for 5 years (2.5 years for each promotion) and are now part of the system with little to no innovation or zeal for something new. But even after all the above i would again say that this was my experience and this might not be the case for you. You might actually like ZS a lot and moreover you will find all the above cons in entire corporate world so cons don't even matter.
