Zapata really does take care of its people. Oddly, one of the things that I do at Zapata Technology as a recruiter: 'when life happens', I help find new jobs for our folks --- maybe a contract ended, maybe they want to move somewhere we do not have a job, maybe they want to grow into a position that is already filled.
When we get candidates that are 'close but not quite a technical match', Zapata takes the time to look around and to suggest alternative employers. Make friends! As a recruiter, it is good to hear from applicants that they hear good things about Zapata Technology and want to join the team.
My job is 100% fully remote, yet this is one of the most interconnected companies that I have ever worked with. We are together throughout the day and across the week. Bi-weekly synchronization meetings online between different sections --- so no guessing what is happening elsewhere in the company.
With Zapata, my voice and opinion matters. I like that.

Few benefits for part-timers. No prorated accumulation of PTO or paid holidays. Standard for many companies. I do have significant freedom to manage my own time and good competitive compensation. Am happy.
