Pros
The people you work with like the, designers are very talented and the younger designers that I worked with help you get acclimated, as best as they could. The office is very nice since it's in the Chrysler building. Sometimes we had outings which were paid for which was cool
Cons
I'll be honest I felt like I didn't belong there. I was a junior designer and frankly a lot of times I felt like I was being misled or confused whether it was from tasks given or conversations had. The workload itself didn't justify the pay because you had the internal agency work plus the clients work to work on. Under my short tenure there there was a lot of shifting projects & deadlines or no real onboarding process really. They do give you a "buddy" to help but in my experience the buddy was always a bit too busy or felt like they didn't want to speak with you. There seems to be a lot of favoritism and judging by other reviews here, I'm glad that I wasn't wrong in that regard. Seems like the founders really only hire from a specific school and me not being in that school felt like a negative, hence not feeling like I belonged. At the time I was hired there was a hybrid schedule of being in the office for 2 days a week and the rest was remote but literally a week into my tenure they announced that they were changing that to 3 days a week in the office. Also seems to me that you can't really speak out your voice there and what I mean by that is if you have any questions about the work you're doing or whether to incorporate user research, you were written off and at the time it seemed like it was a bad thing. The pay was much lower than I had anticipated and because I didn't live in New York City like a lot of other people for me it was more of a struggle and a benefits weren't great.
