Pros
Working is the medical field is interesting! The field assistant or intern position is great for someone who can work flexible hours for low pay. The benefits are great, especially free health insurance- yes you heard me right! The office staff was great to work with and learn from.
Cons
Sometimes the office gets very busy and you are asked to come in very early or stay late. The pay is less than what you might expect given the nature of the work and the expensive equipment you are handling. Flexible hours can sometimes turn into required hours when the office gets too busy. They have no budget for maintenance to the company delivery van, which is used daily, and carries expensive medical equipment. Although your boss is the sales manager, he is rarely in the office or available.
