Pros

Top leadership - CTO/Head of Engineering - are incredible people to work with. Company has a chance to do well.

Cons

Engineers are valued for their impact, which is a measure of how much customers liked the project they were randomly assigned. Engineers are not valued for any skill set. People who have been there awhile have autonomy but there's no opportunity for newer engineers to shine. Middle management is mostly new and untrained and does not know how to manage. Too much process for a company this small - everyone is from Airbnb and they think the same processes needed at big company also needed at small company. Managers/PMS/Designers overworked and dont have enough time for their teams

If you are not ready to roll up your sleeves then this is not the right place for you.

Pros

- Modern app and software in a legacy space - Talented employees from impressive backgrounds - Lot of opportunities to get close with co-workers outside of work if that's what you're looking for. Work hard/play hard mentality - Recognition for delivering important work and going above and beyond

Cons

- Bad culture of comparison to peers, without much consideration of scope given, background, strengths, or support given - Don't get the sense that managers and peers want to help you progress. Much more a culture of recognition over support - Favoritism towards longer tenured employees, friends, and teams that are working on "sexy" products (very cliquey) - If you aren't the confident or expressive type, or fit a certain mold or stereotype within the company, you will have a hard time getting noticed, advancing, or have a sense of belonging - Too much emphasis on numbers when getting evaluated - Poor work/life balance without clear communication during hiring process and after of such (you are implicitly expected to work beyond work hours/days or you will suffer via feedback and treatment) - Poor rollout and unfair expectations for AI development
