Pros
Zisco steel being one of the largest steel manufacturers in Africa offered vast opportunities for career development through Apprentice training. It provided access to new technology in terms of electronics engineering via the use of two way radios, access to the internet, extensive on the job training resources.
Cons
Political Interference with the government and also poor management led to the downfall of ZISCO. It is customary for the company to donate a worthy portion to the top political party thus creating a deficit of funding in income generation activities. Also the management gave themselves large sums of allowances while the employees starved this led to high crime rate and low income
