Pros
Great clients to work with a a real sense of mission when working with non-profits. Lots of room to learn and expand your knowledge, Plenty of freedom to seek solutions without managerial hair-splitting. High salary. Very smart and experienced colleagues, for the most part.
Cons
"Unlimited" vacation time is subject to approval by the CFO, with some months and weeks being blocked out entirely. Project management is scattershot, some project managers having little to no experience. Long hours, nights and weekend expected. Many employees work "off the books" to get their work done. Company was sold to a private equity firm.
