Pros

The team I worked with were amazing. Despite all the challenges we faced, we were stoic and continued to deliver to the best of our abilities. Cover-More also offered a good work/life balance but maybe it was because I had a great manager who enforced it.

Cons

Unless you are a people manager, you don't get a bonus which isn't that much to shout about anyway. Other than free travel insurance and a friends and family discount at JB Hi-Fi, there aren't any other financial benefits. Cover-More doesn't offer paid parental leave and only offers 2 days of Carers Leave a year compared to the NES of 10 days. Cover-More also has a strange underlying culture. If you are not with them, you are against them which is probably why there has been a mass exodus of really quality talent. There are efforts made to try and boost culture and morale but it's not really making a difference. If you are happy to just do a 9-to-5 job, then this place is fine. However if you tend to put your heart and soul into your work, then this place might not be for you.

Pros

Initially there was a delightful small company feel while working there. Everyone had a can-do, whatever it takes to get it done attitude. The company leadership took very good care of the staff.

Cons

The company was acquired during my tenure and things changed. Process over productivity issues began to come into play; individuals' strengths were valued less.
