Pros

- some staff are very nice, collaborative, and work well with the kids/adults - the kids

Cons

- Management is poor at best. Management/CEO goes through waves of being super present and then longer waves of being MIA. - They over subscribe ABA hours. Block scheduling puts most kids at 40hrs a week. Red flag! - CEO openly talks poorly about staff, clients, and families with other staff while at the clinic. - The clinics themselves are in terrible condition. 2/3 clinics have only 1-2 bathroom stalls for clients and staff to share. The walls have holes in them, paint chipping off the walls, baseboards coming off, etc. - Some staff are just not meant for the job. Whether it be for the fact that their heart isn’t in it or other reasons. Clinicians have raised concerns about behavior displayed by specific clinicians for quite a while now, yet they still work there and the concerns have not resolved!! - Some of the clinicians are great. Others make everything very compliance based. - 4 clinicians (not RBTs, but lead/professional clinicians) have announced they’re leaving within the past couple weeks. One left very abruptly, and the whole way management explained that was very sus. Many RBTs have also left. That says a lot. I could go on but that’s probably enough…

Pros

If the job in reality would have been described as in the interview, it would have been a great place to work with lots of positives. Unfortunately, if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. Lesson learned.

Cons

The owner presents as a dedicated and invested employer upon phone interview; however, in reality when she was in the office for the first time she never bothered to come around and introduce herself to me, demonstrating a total lack of interest in who is working for her. Training is scant and provided one day in a half-ass manner; expect to be corrected by the RBT "manager" who will then throw the person who trained you under the bus, saying "He doesn't *really* know what is going on here". There was a change in policy addressing time off and seniority for requested time off; never worked for a company that did that. The main concern of the Chief of Staff was getting signed acknowledgement rather than answering questions about the new policy. There was a lack of training and access to information pertaining to individual clients; I had to ask for access to client information for someone I was going to be working with. There is no training provided for managing aggressive behavior which is common for OD/BD population. Sadly, I thought that working for a small family owned company with a strong missions statement was going to be a benefit. It was not.
