Pros
I started working for Audiential about a month ago and, from the hiring process to now, it has been a refreshingly straightforward and enjoyable experience. I don't identify with a lot of the bad reviews on here, my editor is friendly, patient and approachable and the work is mostly what you make of it - a wide range of topics from real estate to music. You just need to take your time and ask questions if you're unsure. Crucially, as a writer for Audiential, you have autonomy. Freelancers who are juggling clients will enjoy the flexibility and hands-off editorial process. If you've worked in a press team or a news room, you'll know the back-and-forth that comes with team-led blogging/copywriting. Here, as long as you meet the deadlines and perform to a high-enough standard, they're happy to let live. I would recommend working at/with this company if you are a full-time freelancer looking to add a stress-free client to your portfolio. So far, there's been no drama!
Cons
The rates are low, especially compared to UK standards. This is partly because the company is American and the quantities of work are so high. You're also cut off from your articles post-publication, meaning that you can't link them with your portfolio. If you can put up with the above, it's a good deal.
