Pros

-work from home a lot, especially on Fridays. -not a lot of emails -not meeting heavy -patients first -nice, diverse people -positive work culture in regard to overall company morale and liveliness of the organization. -free coffee and almond milk. -ipad -gene therapy is cutting edge. -interesting pipeline -love the B3 all company meetings.

Cons

-i agree with a former reviewer that bbb is "top heavy" for a small org. it feels like the same 20 people who have been with blue since the beginning are the ones who make the decisions and almost hoard their work. it makes it extremely hard to integrate with the organization -WAY too much green coloring happening in regard to the harmonizing. blue calls it cooperative but i would call it overly collaborative- projects take weeks on weeks to finish it feels like because 194847484 people must look at a single document to review. wish there was more people who just wanted to get ish done, and fast, vs. make people feel like their feelings are being taken care of and they can review something before it goes out. -managers are in managerial roles who have never managed people ('nuff said, this is a recipe for disaster).

Hi and thank you for sharing your review. Hitting the positives first…I really appreciate that you highlighted our focus on patients and the overall work culture – these are both core to who we are and who we strive to be. As we continue to grow, we are still finding the right balance between the “just get it done” approach and being inclusive/cooperative. We definitely err on the side of being inclusive and are willing to do that when so much of what we do IS highly integrated and often for the first time. There are pros and cons to that approach – just as there are to get it done on your own. That said, we do need to evolve as we continue to grow and scale operationally. On the management front, we believe in investing in our people and that means promoting people into management roles for the first time. We do our best to prepare managers for this really important role by requiring manager training before becoming a manager and continuing to invest in them after they become managers. I do agree that we need to make sure managers actually want to manage and are building out our technical career paths more robustly. I would love to talk with you to discuss your concerns and how we can work together to drive progress or better address the issues you’ve raised. Thanks! ~ Kathy
