Pros

The work is interesting although can be transactional

Cons

There is very high turnover. Many of LSC staff are contractors so the high turnover may not be visible internally to HR. BP is known for supporting work life balance. The LSC has set working conditions created by the leadership team that are very different to the rest of BP. The work life balance is poor. BP offers flexible working but at the LSC employees are not permitted flexible working (very strict working hours of 9-5) or to work from home. Some of the leadership team do work from home. Better when busy is a LSC value that should be better when efficient. There are lots of unnecessary processes and trackers that don't add value. Resource is poorly managed. I would not recommend working here. Most people would be accustomed to a more forward thinking flexible workplace.

Pros

Supportive team environment with good learning opportunities and exposure to large-scale projects. Compensation and benefits are competitive, and the company offers strong brand recognition and career development resources.

Cons

Decision-making can be slow due to layers of management, and processes sometimes feel overly bureaucratic. Workload and priorities can shift quickly, which may create stress depending on the team.
