Pros

The work environment offers great work life balance. The benefits are well beyond what most companies offer, so that offers quite a bit of security.

Cons

Though the benefits are great, the company reorganizes every year and a half. That means that 25% of your time in any given role is spent worrying about whether or not you will have a job in four months. This is a male dominated company. The women who tend to excel at BP ingratiate themselves to male senior management or tend to have male characteristics (which doesn't mean they are unqualified, it just puts other women at a disadvantage). I had several consecutive years of "Exceeds Expectations" evaluations only to watch my career stagnate. No thanks.

Pros

Supportive team environment with good learning opportunities and exposure to large-scale projects. Compensation and benefits are competitive, and the company offers strong brand recognition and career development resources.

Cons

Decision-making can be slow due to layers of management, and processes sometimes feel overly bureaucratic. Workload and priorities can shift quickly, which may create stress depending on the team.
