Pros

Good starting salary, OK health insurance Breakfast on Fridays and snacks Absolutely nothing else

Cons

- No job security - The amount of people they hire and fire - people have been being hired and fired on a monthly/weekly basis. As soon as they don't need you anymore they will let you go without a second thought. - The company only cares about money - not design or their people. - Absolutely no flexibility - If you are looking for a work-life balance or want to have a family turn around and walk away. - No salary increases - The pay is decent, but don't think that you can ask for more after you start. People get let go for asking for raises. They also lay off employees with high salaries to hire employees for lower salaries. - No morals - No sustainability efforts. If you are looking for sustainable design, this is the opposite - Male dominated - No female upper management at all - they fired them all. - CEO is terrible - yells and swears constantly in the office, no professionalism whatsoever. - You cannot role over vacation time - Minimal holidays, company does not even let employees early on Christmas eve.

Pros

Ci Design has given me the opportunity to contribute to a diverse range of projects while expanding my expertise in complex, large-scale work environments. Clients include leaders in their respective industries. The prospect of generating new business opportunities and advancing to a minority ownership position continues to fuel my professional ambitions. Hard work is recognized and rewarded. Office is in Boston’s Seaport neighborhood with convenient access to mass transit and waterfront amenities.

Cons

Not everyone has a laptop, but leadership is changing that.

Pros

Encouraging staff collaboration and organizing engaging downtown or team-building activities can help foster stronger workplace relationships while providing a meaningful break from the pressures of demanding project deadlines.

Cons

Leadership and project managers often underestimate the level of coordination, technical expertise, and time required to complete projects within BIM platforms. As a result, teams are frequently expected to meet unrealistic turnaround schedules, while significant portions of project budgets are allocated toward highly polished renderings during the early schematic design phase. This can come at the expense of thorough project documentation, despite the substantial amount of time and effort later required during the Construction Administration (CA) phase.
