Pros

clients are fun to work with at times.

Cons

Micromanages way too much demoralizing staff since rather than learning they penalize you for mistakes without bringing it up to you first, which is unprofessional. Understaffed by a ton with a growing young adult population which can be hard to handle most days since your overloaded with tasks without much help. Giving meds to the clients even though we are not registered nurses. Also there is a little dog there that has no oversight or primary caretaker. It falls on the staff and clients to take care of the dog. Which easily becomes neglected since no one has time and its all volunteer by clients who can choose not too or are unsafe to handle the dog. Putting the dog in danger and is not a real therapy dog. It is cute but sadly not treated correctly and is abused from being properly taken care of.

Pros

Dwell was a wonderful place to learn and get experience in working with the young adult population. The team was supportive and provided a warm environment for the residents.

Cons

Need more staffing in afternoon shifts to better support the team and residents.

Pros

The clients were great, I loved doing activities with them and I also loved the dog that they had.

Cons

The place is filthy. The management sucks. They micromanage. Its horribly understaffed. You will have to walk up 6 flights of stairs every hour for two steep buildings. They expect you to do everything under the sun and not be exhausted. They do not like if you sit down. Heavy lifting is required. Cleaning up bodily excrement after some of the residents is required.
