      Pros

      Excellent access to cutting edge technology in plant science

      Cons

      Culture is that jobs are temporary and DDPSC functions as a stepping stone for post-docs and PI's to start-ups and industry. No emphasis/benefit for support staff retention. Very hierarchical.

      Wonderful culture, smart people, ambitious research, academic research institution

      Cons

      Like most academic institutes, the Danforth center is mostly transitory for research employees that are completing advanced degrees or fulfilling postdoctoral fellowships. It can be hard to be a long time employee.

      -Very Nice Staff -Professional Improvement Workshops are strongly encouraged

      Cons

      -May have to work extra hours, with no pay, to keep up with the demand of research, but it depends on each lab's requirements
