Pros
Fellow colleagues are great and nice to work with. A prestigious name and brand to be associated with. Cheap food in the canteen.
Cons
Managers are very green and inexperienced. They employ agressive bullying tactics and show questionable amounts of common sense. Insecurities in manager would constantly come out in the form of aggresively shouting at workers, especially at the people of colour which I witnessed myself. They had an issue with constantly snapping at people and in general people of colour were treated very differently at the company but this is to be expected from a company just above the Daily Mail. Wrong decisions are constantly being made and poor results in work would always be accredited to workers and management would never take any blame themselves, to look good to their own managers. The levels of hypocracy are rife and lack of experience in the video making field are very clear. The only thing keeping the many channels afloat is the great work done by the immediate team and not managers. Managers would also go missing for no reason for days at a time, haulting our work and affecting productivity which would then be spun into a issue with the team. Managers would also constantly add to workloads so they would look good to higher ups and wouldn't listen to any of our concerns. There was not even table space for our team for the first few weeks of the job with no attempt to help from manager. We had gather left over chairs and tables and sit on the floor. 8am start times with no work from home options, also everyone has to work one day of the weekend.
