Pros

Most of the colleagues you will associate with are nice. You get business cards. You get a parking spot.

Cons

- The owner is the devil (or at least related) - Made to feel unworthy in my belief in order to justify not paying your market worth - Must do minimum 40 Billable hours a week (not total hours) else there will be hell to pay. And sometimes you may have to manufacture hours to bill, or else the devil will lecture you like you're a 2 year old. - Don't ask what ECI can do for you! But what you can do for ECI. - Having 50+ billable hours a week for a year average will not get you a pay rise. - Being locked up in the "library" for a meeting/chat with the devil. - High turnover. - Large notice periods making timing difficult when you decide to escape and find a new job. - Having meetings cancelled with the devil because driving his new car is more important. Cancel a meeting on him the pitchfork will come out. - Staff treated like a sweat shop. - After a few months you'll feel as though you're suffering from "battered wife syndrome". - Family will always come second. - Be prepared to be all "knowing" in a tech you know nothing about because you will be sold to a client as being an expert. - You may be hired because you may know or be associated with someone who can benefit the business.

Pros

Most companies these days offer unpaid internships and/or have a difficult graduate program to enter. e-Centric Innovations streamlines this process with their Junior Consultant program, which allows fresh graduates to be exposed to the professional world and gain life-changing professional experience and learning opportunities with various participating companies

Cons

Salary compensation can be a deterrent for most individuals in today's high interest and highly inflationary environment. However a life pro tip would be to not focus on the immediate compensation but to take into consideration the opportunities it will bring and the salary that will result out of maximising that opportunity
