Pros
Flexibility. Opportunity for professional growth in certain areas. There are wonderful people who care about what they do on the front lines.
Cons
The cons far outweigh the pros. The organization is in a financial tailspin and has been for quite some time. eQ recently decided to downsize following the loss of some Medicaid contracts. However, the company was in financial disarray before that, which is obvious considering they’ve had 3 different CFO’s in 3 years. CEO preaches integrity. However, there is no integrity in that position. The company hosts townhall meetings where they twist things to seem positive and willfully omit things they don’t want staff to know, like that they’re broke. They cancelled the most recent townhall following layoffs because they don’t want to tell the remaining staff what’s going on. The culture is toxic. The company employs a lot of great people who have been misled into thinking their employer cares about them and the populations they manage. Current staff would be foolish to not start looking for other jobs and applicants would be wise to avoid eQ at all costs.
