Great short term, long term not likely - Anonymous Employee eXp Realty Employee Review

Pros

Fully remote, health & dental, great tools and resources for staff, flexible time off

Cons

There are far too many changes being introduced with nowhere near enough communication or support alongside them. Morale across the team is currently very low, and nobody seems genuinely happy with the workload or overall direction of the company. Management are now having staff train AI systems to take over parts of document review and data entry instead of addressing the obvious need for additional hiring and proper staffing support. Given the company’s previous layoffs and decisions to replace roles with cheaper labour abroad, it has created very little sense of job security or trust in leadership. There is also very little incentive for employees to go above and beyond when pay rises are either extremely minimal or nonexistent altogether. Staff are continuously expected to take on more responsibility while receiving little recognition, reassurance or reward in return.

Pros

Great team of agents in New Orleans, who work to support each other. You can actually get help, advice, feedback and support as a new agent. Exp also allows you to work with partners such as Redfin, Zillow, realtor®.com. Low split for the company itself. Amazing brokers who stay on top of things that are change in the industry. Lots of freedom and how you want to operate your business.

Cons

You are charged an $85 technology fee every month whether you close deals or not. Part of the reason the split can say so is that there are no offices unless the team provides one.
