Pros

The owners of the companies are top notch, they place a lot of trust on their employees to do their job. Everyone there is super friendly and they invest a lot on accessibility, if that's your jam - it's definitely a place to work in. They also respect employees time and don't force the need to work overtime for the most part with their project management.

Cons

There is a limited innovative solution because of time and budget which is a problem a lot of agencies also face. A lot of the time it's sort of the 'just get it done' mentality.

Pros

* Focused on high quality work and genuinely helping their clients to achieve the best outcomes. * Not afraid to take on challenging projects and bespoke work. This keeps the work interesting. * I grew the most in my career as a software developer, team lead and even in a business capacity because of the flexibility afforded by ecentricarts. * The company is not afraid to take its chances on unproven employees if it sees they are eager, genuine and intelligent; and if they believe that person is a good cultural fit and investment for the future. * Smart employees, open to new ideas, great people to work with. * The company does interesting work, not just websites. * A very generous employer, from bonus days off during the year to on-site amenities, or even some extra RAM for your workstation. The owners genuinely care about their staff. * Fosters management. The employers give employees a great amount of flexibility and responsibility to run the business for them, making it a great place to learn and grow in management positions. * The bottom line: I recommend ecentricarts as an employer, and also if you want to be involved in interesting work and to work with good people.

Cons

* Trouble carrying out quarterly and annual reviews in a timely and consistent manner made it hard to get needed, valuable feedback, and often led to confusion. Definitely check to see if this has been resolved if applying for a position. * Continual change of team formations and strategies led to many pain points. I'd recommend that new employees get information about your team structure and the current plans for your team before starting into the company.

Pros

The company has very high standards, which begin with the very involved owners who set the bar high. Ethics are key at the company, where transparency and fairness prevail over making a sale. A strong work ethic is required to work here, and if you don't have one, you will feel exposed and ultimately feel compelled to rise to a higher standard There is a constant push to improve all facets of the company, leading to constant learning among the employees. When hiring new employees, there is much attention placed on a person's character, to ensure a good fit in the company's culture. This ensures you are working with great people. They strike the right balance between fast-moving "startup" and "by the book" older companies. The proof of all the above is the very low employee turn-over rate.

Cons

This is not a place for a classic heads-down developer: you will be required to document, and interact with clients. The company will not adopt bleeding edge technologies, as they pause to learn how best to use the technology. Learning is usually on your own time, though there are opportunities for learning from your peers during formal sessions.
