Pros

Free food, location, great product, stock options and competitive referral bonus

Cons

Rushed training, "you should know this" attitude, condescending management, no formal escalation process, you are thrown into dealing with customers, no females in upper management, obvious favoritism, you are expected to take home work, management expects you to work overtime and guilts you if you don't

Thanks for your feedback, we take these concerns to heart here at ecobee. We’ve implemented a few changes to our Technical Support team since your time here. We provide four weeks of formal in-class training, and once on the phones, our CSRs have support and access to our QA/Trainers, other CSRs, and the Supervisory team. We may ask for people to step up when extra support is needed, but that’s a part of our company culture and core values (Driven, Integrity and Initiative). Our team is growing quickly, so we tend to have new Supervisors who are new to managing people. We continually support them and help them develop their people management skills. Although this takes a little bit of time and patience, it’s always worth it when you have great managers supporting an awesome group of people. Co-headquartered in Toronto and Leeds - very cosmopolitan with a high emphasis on DEI.

Cons

Tech company means people love ALLLLL the software. Information and resources are scattered across numerous platforms, which can be pretty frustrating.

Pros

ecobee is a great place to work because of the fantastic culture that exists here. Thanks to transparency from our CEO down, there are multiple teams helping support me in my role and hit my goals. Because there are so many intelligent, driven and willing people, we are able to work together to exceed goals and focus on what is important to our shared success. Many suggestions and support can be given because of it is known by everyone what you are working on and striving for. It also allows for frank conversations about what we can't work on because it would create misalignment with our goals. I am excited to be a part of a company that is constantly innovating, helping the planet, and looking to win in the market. Great time to be an ecopeep!

Cons

Too many great ideas and not enough resources to bring them all to life!
