Pros
Good environment overall, although theres a lot of negativity towards the company you can feel from all the employees. They have great people that work there and that are easy to get along with. Management is good at giving the illusion that they want to make everyone happy, and that they put in the effort to have "team" activities. They do offer good benefits once you're on full-time, and they have recently added new benefits like WFH every other friday and summer hours. You will get some good exposure if you're a newbie and looking for experience. But do not expect exciting work.
Cons
Like a lot of other reviews mention there are problems with upper management. Some of that comes from the fact that they do promote from within (rewarding loyalty), but that leaves some unqualified people making decisions that effect everyone. Other problems come from wasting resources on outside consultants to give advice, pep talks and sit in on executive positions to make company altering decisions. Executives are ok lying to employees about company performance and outlook. I really discourage any designer or developer from working here. They claim to innovate and work on new cutting edge applications. It couldn't be further from the truth. R+D works on maintaining a system of legacy apps that are constantly breaking, and they are rarely given the opportunity to work on new projects. Designers on the product team will end up supporting marketing and creating presentations. New products and features rarely see the light of day or even make it out of the product team. Rash decisions are made in terms of product development in a constant effort to meet client demands and compete with competitors. As a result solutions are built quickly and cheaply, often outsourced, with little to no thought into the design or architecture.
