Pros

The clothing, accessories and gifts are wonderful. I've loved the store as a customer. As an employee, the discount was decent and the company encourages you to try the merchandise so you can better sell to the customer. This particular store had loyal customers that enjoyed buying large quantities/expensive items which made sales easy. There was more creative freedom than most other corporate stores.

Cons

Soon after I came on board and started training, I was told the management above me (BMR, District Manager, Regional Manager) would be quitting, leaving me in charge of the boutique I worked at. I was trained at a rushed pace which left me ill prepared for my responsibilities and had no support from upper management or other stores in the area. The store was severely understaffed and it was impossible to make schedules. This made the shifts extremely long and inconvenient for all of the employees. Not to mention, we were all students (college and high school). The majority of the employees were extremely cliquey, negative and difficult to work with, the ones that weren't quit as soon as they could.

Pros

I loved the flexibility of my boss scheduling me according to free time with my college work.

Cons

I felt like it was a very serious job and sometime my boss would make me go up to guests and keep askign them questions right when they walk in the door.
