Pros

I worked at geoAMPS for just over 5 years, starting as the only Business Analyst learning under the guidance of the CEO, moving to Senior Business Analyst and ending my geoAMPS career as the Business Analyst Manager. Honestly, I owe most of my professional knowledge and experience to geoAMPS. Whenever someone would ask me what I liked most about my job there I would say it's that I learned something new EVERY SINGLE DAY, and that is the truth. geoAMPS is an environment where employees can truly flourish if they CHOOSE to do so. If you invest the time to make an impact you will see the rewards, and I don't mean necessarily from a monetary perspective, but more from a professional growth and knowledge perspective. Just like any other job or situation, working at geoAMPS is what you make it. I had FUN working there; the work was exciting and challenging. I enjoyed being pushed to learn more and be better... Shouldn't we all?! Even more than the work, I love the people at geoAMPS. THE ONLY REASON I LEFT WAS TO WORK AT MY FAMILY BUSINESS. Nothing else could have caused me to leave geoAMPS, as the people there are like a second family. The CEO, COO, and President will invest in you if you invest your energy and drive into the vision and future of geoAMPS. MOST are willing to help out one another and MOST are concerned with the "greater good." I learned SO MUCH from the people at geoAMPS, especially the CEO and President who I could NEVER thank enough for all they taught me. geoAMPS has a very bright future and I would encourage anyone looking for a fun and exciting challenge to check out the opportunities here.

Cons

There is a lot of work -- but that can be exciting if you choose to view it that way. If you are looking to put in your 8 hours and go home with no thoughts of work until the next weekday, then geoAMPS probably isn't the place for you. You have to work HARD to earn your place (boo hoo). So, if you feel the world owes you something or that you are special before you've proven yourself then don't waste yours or geoAMPS' time...

Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a beautiful review. Most people don't bother to leave reviews about positive experiences unincentivized, and that's what makes you the star. We are happy to have you be a part of the family. It's only when we receive such positive feedback, do we rest knowing that we have done our jobs well. Thank you for giving us this proverbial pat on the back, you made our day! We will strive to deliver great experiences consistently and continue making GeoAMPS a great place to work at.

Pros

Small company, relatively inclusive culture. Promising if outdated technology. There is a vision, even if it isn't entirely well defined. Rapid growth, while I was there.

Cons

CEO/COO husband and wife team take "company first" to a whole new level. Employees are burned up, out, and chastised if they speak out. I was removed from team meetings after certain staff members left, because the "company" was afraid I wouldn't parrot the company line or have questions I worked for over two years as a manager there, and going above and beyond is hardly recognized. I can cite dozens of instances of work nights lasting until 3 or 4 am, including one where I was then chastised for coming in late the following morning (sleep is a luxury). Unrealistic deadlines, sales that has the green light to mislead, poor compensation, and a COO more interested in new paint and furniture than working. A CEO that has a skillset from 2008, and no interest in grasping anything new. Marketing new verticals before a single line of code is written, then making sure responsibility and blame gets shifted to the lower levels.

We are sorry to hear you feel this way. geoAMPS is a young, small company in the process of change that will benefit all members of the team. We have quickly become the premier provider of software solutions to manage land right and infrastructure assets. We configure our products to meet each client’s needs. Because we have clients in different locations, long hours and late work nights are occasionally necessary, but employees are given several days notice. As the geoAMPS team grows, the need for long hours will be reduced. Thank you very much for sharing your opinions. We appreciate the time and effort you devoted during your time at geoAMPS.
