Horrible Management - Engineer iRhythm Technologies Employee Review

Pros

Good benefits and good salary

Cons

I believe that iRhythm have a lot of potential as a company regardless the multiple lawsuits they are facing, however, I feel that the company is falling apart because of the lack of leadership, the last earnings call was a little bit disappointed considering that they mentioned around 7 times a solution that may not fix the real issues that the company is having, and when you actually see how management is trying to execute the action plan is more concerning. Also, is very sad seeing how the same management told employees that we are in a very low budget and they are trying to save 100 bucks for equipment that is needed for business continuation or personal development, but at the same time they can have fancy dinners of thousands of dollars. Adding to this, Ethics violation complaints are not taken seriously, we got a warning letters and multiple 483 observations, and nothing happen within our quality department, instead they promoted people and started to push more changes that make no sense that can actually affect more the business than before. iRhythm may thrive and success at the end of all this madness, but it will stay with a toxic environment with unhappy staff, that will do things just for money with no motivation.

Pros

I’ve had a wonderful experience working at iRhythm so far. One of the standout aspects is the company’s genuine commitment to work-life balance. Leadership is respectful of personal boundaries and very mindful of a global workforce, which makes collaboration feel thoughtful rather than overwhelming. I especially love the practice of starting meetings five minutes after the hour. It may seem small, but it gives everyone a moment to reset and breathe, and it makes a big difference in the flow of the day! The benefits are also very competitive, with coverage starting on day one, which is a huge plus. I’ve also noticed there are more paid holidays than I’ve experienced elsewhere, which further reinforces the company’s people-first approach. The team culture is another highlight. Everyone I’ve worked with has been inclusive, supportive, and welcoming. It feels like a place where people truly want each other to succeed, and that positive energy shows up in day-to-day interactions. What makes the experience even more rewarding is the mission. iRhythm’s innovative cardiac monitoring solutions are making a real impact in people’s lives, helping detect and manage heart conditions more effectively. It’s inspiring to be part of a company where the work directly contributes to better health outcomes. With this being one of the company’s highest growth years yet, there’s a strong sense of momentum and excitement about the future. As a contract employee, I’ve felt fully included and valued, which speaks volumes about the culture. I would be incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue here in a full-time capacity, as iRhythm has quickly become a place where I can see myself growing and contributing long term!

Pros

The perks and benefits are good enough to keep you happy but the allure of it quickly fades.

Cons

The managers are used more as supervisors and are overburdened by duties instead of being able to delegate. The culture amongst the teams can be tolerable and throughout the bulk of techs is passable at best but there is no true community or consideration for well-being even though senior leadership want to force that narrative. We are used as kindling for fire as audits pass through and then they become much more restrictive on workplace professionalism. In fact, this company is not meant for career growth or learning. A lot of the leadership have been inbred and stuck around for too many years allowing for loyalty and favoritism to decide who gets opportunities and who stays. High performers beware you will quickly be burned out of here because they will want to keep in your lane and push you back into your role. Education and capabilities are not recognized, and brown-nosing is very much the way to expand in the company. At best get some experience and then move to a different culture better for your mental health.
