Pros

*company is easy to get on-boarded with & training isn't too hard plus you can recruit friends and make some money off their success. (must pass 100 hours) *tutoring can be fun and you get to learn with the students as all lessons are provided, you basically just figure out how to present them, so you can be as creative as you want with your props, etc. *For the most part, I've always had students in my classes, unless its a holiday in Asia, then it can be slow for a few days but not often *Almost all the students are kind, respectful and want to learn English *You make your own hours so if you have other jobs, like me, I schedule classes when I want to and make an extra $500-$600 supplemental a month USD.

Cons

*I'm not an IT guru, so let me just say I learn to troubleshot things as I go but its all part of teaching online and the IT department is phenomenal with helping you. *Make sure you have an ergonomic set-up. I did not and I type a lot so I ended up getting tendonitis in my arm but now I'm sitting at the right height, etc and hopefully that will go away. I have to take breaks, so I may teach 2x a day with a break between to rest my body and arms especially. Make sure to keep your forearms strong as you use your mouse a lot to type notes, highlight on your whiteboard, etc.

Pros

remote, pick your own shifts

Cons

terrible pay, unfair review system (a kid would rate you and if they didn’t want to take the class, they just gave you a bad rating)
