You will be paid for every second you work. You can use this company as a sidestep to get a permanent job in a non consulting company.
Cons
You are a consultant. This means that the city you work and live can change in an instant. There is no guarantees that you can plan on staying at the same city and planning your future. You are bound by an IG Metal contract. You NEED to take a 45 minute break, regardless of if you are actually taking the break or just working. Too much details about working hours. You need to specify exactly how long you work in an excel sheet. i.e. 8,32 hours.. You will also probably need to do this for your customer. This adds useless paperwork. Hard to negotiate for a raise. If you are bound to IG Metall, you fall into a certain category of salaries -> which is very hard to get out of.. Getting out of it, means automatically more responsibilities i.e. management. A freelancer has none of these problems.
