Pros

Starting pay was competitive, unlimited PTO for salary employees, benefits are ok as well

Cons

Loyalty to employees that have remained here from GTAT buyout has led to poor decision making. No one regards data, projects are frequently rejected only to be stolen and praised universally as a good idea. project deadlines frequently missed and dismissed as ok. "everything will come out in the wash" mentality. Been in a hiring freeze for nearly a full year with no end in sight, leading to a disastrous work load. Poor employee morale, with hyperfixation on employee relationships vs solving actual manufacturing problems. Frequent process changes inspire little confidence between operators and engineers. Zero chance for career growth. frequent ethics violations and targeting after ethics complaints are filed. EHS is nonexistent, HR spreads rumors and gossip, employees sabotage projects and frequently argue with each other. Compliance was improving and then resources were directed elsewhere, resulting in serious regression in compliance

Pros

The company offers good pay and benefits. I also had the chance to work with many capable and supportive peers at the same level, which made the day-to-day work more manageable.

Cons

The work environment can feel highly political. The system tends to encourage people to compete or protect themselves instead of collaborating and helping each other succeed. This often creates unnecessary tension between teams and individuals. Local management also needs significant improvement. Instead of helping remove roadblocks and making the work more efficient, they often add extra processes, tasks, and requirements that do not always contribute to the real goal: improving quality and getting meaningful work done. There is a lot of focus on activities that look good on paper, but not enough support for the actual work needed to ensure quality and execution.
