Pros

*Interesting stock * great learning opportunity for luxury branding that could help future career opportunities * hands on styling with many customers if your doing sales due to the nature of the stock * also if you enjoy sales, great satisfaction for the price of the stock you have the opportunity to sell * great area surrounding to work, * some good opportunities to go to events can come around every so often * They are good at hiring so other staff tend to be great people * In the aftermath of working here; Excellent learning experience of what jobs sort of jobs NOT to accept(“we are a family” etc, big red flag), and it’s great to know you’ll never allow yourself to be treated like this again.

Cons

You treated very well for the first while, and then once you find your feet true colours appear(this is a repeated pattern myself and my colleagues of the time watched happen on multiple occasions) Expect; * to be Paid badly * company uses interns for free labour so be expected to babysit and see them be given roles which benefit the business financially rather than ethically * job role is interchangeable depending on managements mood or the time of day * lack of respect of one’s experience and outlined role * discriminatory language to refer to staff and customers * lack of respect towards lower tier staff * over reliance on upper tier staff to the point where you can watch them break down during work * group chats where staff are at times berated and called out for mistakes publicly during work. (This is something NO company should do) * the owner will find a reason to place blame on mistakes

Pros

Great stock and resale / consignment knowledge

Cons

Where to begin. Both owners are male and female, one is as bad as the other. - Made to feel tiny infront of customers coming in with luxury bags to sell (literally told to go away infront of them). - Low pay, high expectations. - Always laughed at. - Owner is threatened by her staff's dreams and their success'. -Male owner will shout "you're late" instead of a hello, did you get caught in traffic, when in-fact, we were never late, we needed to come in 15 minutes early every morning UNPAID, before they opened the doors. If we added up how much we are owed, it would be a different story. - Staff crying their eyes out on the shop floor over female owners behaviour and how she spoke to you. - When you eventually plan your escape route, the owner STOPS talking to you in spite! - Rude, rude, bully owners.
