Pros

LimeLight is a rare gem of a startup in SF these days. They have a real product, real customers, real revenue and a great team of all ages, genders, ethnicities, and experience. They are at an exciting growth point and I expect the place will look entirely different by next year - in a good way. Now is a great time to join as the company expands to new markets and creates new products. It's a fast-paced environment where you can really make a mark and a difference. If you are creative and self-starter this is a great place for you. The company values and recognizes good work. The CEO is experienced as is the management team. The location is great too - right next to SouthPark.

Cons

The company is growing fast so some of the usual structure you might expect is not in place. I like that fluidity but if you want rigid structure. This place is not for you.

Pros

Complex fintech and payments space, but I enjoy both the creative and analytical sides of marketing here. There is always something new to learn and optimize. Interesting campaigns, a chance to test new ideas, and competent leadership. I like that the role requires a lot of teamwork – marketing works closely with content, design, web development, operations, and sales teams.

Cons

I have to deal with competing priorities and timelines.

Pros

The team members I worked with were genuinely engaged, which made some days easier to get through.

Cons

• Remote flexibility promised during hiring was removed immediately after starting with no explanation or transition • Autonomy in work structure was taken away and replaced with constant meetings and status checks • Work arrangement decisions were imposed without input from employees doing the work • The gap between what was promised and actual conditions was never acknowledged or addressed • Expected support for workload never materialized, while expectations continued to increase • Changes were treated as normal, with no regard for employee impact
