You cannot trust anything leadership says. In a weekly all call, we were told that layoffs were not an option and a week later 20-something employees were laid off. Another weekly all call, we were told that we had plenty of runway and the next week 40-something employees were laid off. In between those two layoffs, we watched as existing members of leadership were promoted to even high ranks (e.g. Director to VP and VP to C-suite) while individuals or smaller groups from teams were randomly “let go”.
