Pros

Great pay and benefits Nice coworkers Plenty of opportunity to grow and learn as a professional. The company values you. Young staff. The company, and CEO, trusts and invests in recent university graduates, something many companies are not willing to do. You must be smart, hard working, and able to handle stress well, though. If you want to just put in the minimum hours and go on with your life, this probably isn't the place for you. The company is a market leader, customer-centric and very good at what it does, which makes employees proud to work there.

Cons

Lots of meetings Can be tedious work at times Blowback from making a mistake can be quite undesirable, so the culture is to work with head down and to always make sure you are not at fault. This is the main con.

Great training and pay. Lots of support form coworkers.

Cons

Challenging to learn new role at first, but good support so not too bad. Long drives some days.

Pros

- Rapidly growing company, hurtling across the steppes and destroying the competition. - Employees are extremely intelligent; some have degrees from elite universities, e.g. MIT & Berkeley. There is nobody from Everest College or Compton Community College here (not saying those aren't outstanding institutions). - Field engineers are friendly and always up for a discussion about Skyrim, Schrödinger's Cat, Star Wars, Dungeons and Dragons, etc. - Salary raises here are generally much larger than the typical 3% you'd get at other companies. - Employees conduct themselves in an utterly professional manner at all times. - Generous benefits. - Outstanding leadership: it's like Steve Jobs and W. Edwards Deming had a baby. - Everybody here is super sharp. Incompetent employees are read the riot act and summarily fired. - Convenient parking. - Fun company parties. - Employees with Asperger's can succeed here. - The pride and satisfaction that comes with knowing you are part of a world-class team. - Japanese business philosophies.

Cons

- Located in Irvine, a master-planned community that is the height of suburban banality. - Office is in the euphemistically named Skypark Business Center, which is home to a variety of sleazy massage parlors and marijuana gardening stores. I'm surprised there's no Check into Cash yet. Also, exasperatingly difficult to have a conversation outdoors with all the low-flying airplanes overhead. - Meetings tend to run long; grab some Provigil beforehand if you're the type to have trouble focusing. - Sausage fest: very few women working here. - Disproportionate number of UCI grads working here.
