Corporate setting with systems in place
When I first started the company culture was great, everyone loved going into work
Cons
Although systems are in place, things don't work half the time, whether it's IT or equipments.
Lackluster communications between all departments, making the day to day in operations more difficult than it should be.
It's a paycheck. Paid my bills until I found something in fine dining. Also a good place to work for less experienced servers. Coworkers really made it worth coming in.
Cons
Hours are long, the floor is constantly overstaffed so money is on the lower side compared to other restaurants in Manhattan. The POS system is archaic and management requires you to memorizes each item's corresponding number just to be able to ring anything in. Felt like I spent more energy learning each item's number than actually becoming familiar with the menu, have never encountered a restaurant like this but the CEO insists on it as its their gimmick.
